2021 update

This month it was 9 years since I started Collier Design and began freelancing, almost 14 years since I graduated and starting working as a designer.

Through the challenging period of the pandemic, I’ve seen my role at Tesco expand from leading design projects as a freelance UI Lead to joining the leadership team in a permanent capacity as Design Lead/Principal. I now oversee product design across some 45 products and 50 designers in the Enterprise design team. As a part of this I also lead the new Enterprise design system and the team coming together to make it happen.

Also this year, I’ve been lucky enough to work with Else (formerly SomeOne/Else) again on a project creating accessibility guidelines for leading pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim. It was great to work with Lu, Olly and Barry, and I hope to support them on another project again soon.

Say hello to Grace

Our family got a little bit bigger last month. Grace is our second child and little sister to a very proud and excited Joshua.

Working with Tesco

At the end of last year I started working with Tesco on projects to transform the way the UK’s largest retailer runs its business.

I’ll be leading the UI design across several enterprise applications used by both buyers and suppliers.

It’s also great to be able to work with creative directors Dan Holder and Ray Jopson again, who I’ve previously collaborated with at Lloyds Banking Group.
